Vertical lines set at varying distances apart placed orthogonally or at times diagonally allowed for a careful study of line, color and composition while also suggesting the third dimension. Transparency, layering, folding, and stacking can been seen in the study with their spatial implications. This series of serial line drawings takes as its inspiration the work of Josef Albers, Carlos Cruz-Diez, Frank Stella and Sol LeWitt. Working within a consistent set of constraints from series to series allowed for cross comparisons and the development of a language of graphic techniques.
